Broward Health Meltdown - Redux

The North Broward Hospital District is suffering yet another meltdown in leadership, this time with two of its key administrators jumping ship in the midst of a Federal investigation of one of the ten largest public hospital systems in the nation -- this despite the District’s CEO Frank Nask’s frantic efforts to keep their sudden departure a secret
Although still featured in the executive photo gallery on the District’s Broward Health web page, it’s been weeks since Nask received – and then buried – letters of resignation from District Chief Operating Officer Joe Rogers and his VP sidekick Brian Ulery, the top administrator in charge of the District-owned physician practices which have been losing millions of dollars for nearly a decade.
In the wake of all this, a bitter battle is being waged between members of the District’s governing board of politically-appointed Commissioners with:
Commissioners Rhonda Calhoun, Miguel Fernandez and Richard Paul Hus struggling to shield CEO Nask from a steady barrage  of hard-ball questions levied by Commissioners Clarence McKee and David DiPietro regarding the hush-hush details of mega millions in contracts  with various private vendors, physicians and lawyers -- plus Nask's demand to name the District's top management with Commission approval.
Fearful of stepping on the wrong political toes, the District’s two remaining Commissioners Joel Gustafson and Jennifer O’Flannery Anderson are wuss-watching the battle from the sidelines until a higher authority tells them where the smart money’s headed.
    Predictions:

One - Although solidly aligned behind Nask and Commissioner Calhoun's anti-reform team , District Attorney Sam Goren will fail in his behind-the-scenes attempt to silence McKee and DiPietro in their on-going  jihad to force the secretive Nask to follow District by-laws that  require Commission approval for contracts in excess of $250,000 – by-laws which Nask has repeatedly ignored.
Two - District CEO Nask will get his walking papers, plus an obese tax-paid golden parachute, before the end of the year. (This on top of his bonus earlier this year.)
Three - Goren's law firm and other legal insiders will end the year with record tax-paid fees from the District.
Four – A special State-wide Grand Jury will be empaneled to determine the reasons behind the bizarre difference in the historic leadership, culture and operation  of Broward’s two giant tax funded health care districts (Broward Health versus Memorial Healthcare).
NOTE: Okay. Item Four is about as likely as Florida Senator Marco Rubio leaving the house without his platform shoes. JKdeG
