Meet Florida's Top Health Care Whores

They're In Broward's Legislative Delegation
Instead of Hustling Johns On the Street
Florida's $19 billion a year Medicaid program will be turned over to private health care insurance companies under current bills being forced through both houses of the Florida legislature.
But then...
State-wide Florida candidates running for office in 2008 garnered more than $10 million in campaign contributions from the health care industry.
Which suggests today's lobbyists have replaced yesterday's pimps.
Anyhow...
Based on campaign dollars they hustled for their 2008 campaigns, four of Florida's Top Five Health Care Whores in the current legislature are members of Broward's legislative delegation (see those underlined below).
In order of the total 2008 campaign dollars they scored off Big Health:
Sen. Jeff Atwater - $366,890
Rep. Adam Hasner - $138,229
Sen. Eleanor Sobel - $124,600
Sen. Mike Fasano - $116,628
Rep. Ellyn Bogdanoff - $113,110
Oh yes.
To further gauge the above legislators' talents* as Health Care Whores, consider the average 2008 campaign contribution Big Health gave to underpaid legislative Health Care Hookers in:
The Florida Senate - $28,200
The Florida House - $10,150
*So much for a Real Politick example of a high class call girl's earnings versus those of a sorry-assed crack whore.
